Though weak, Ranged Troops excel at speed and being able to hit targets that are unable to return fire because the Troops are out of the target's range. Despite this, it is best to send in some stronger Melee Troops ahead of them to absorb the majority of the fire power as the Ranged Troops pluck off the targets one by one from a safer distance.
Spearman (Tier 2): The Spearman is a basic ranged unit that tosses sharpened spears short distances.
Longbowman (Tier 3): The Longbowman fires farther and hits harder then the standard bowman, but is slower and fires less frequently.
Prototype Sniper (Tier 6): Snipers have extremely long range and no armor.
Tessley Snipes (Tier 9): Snipers have extremely long range and no armor.
These Tanks, debuting in Tier 4, excel at soaking up damage from multiple sources and are good for screening your troops. They have 0 damage power (Except for the glory tank which has a damage of 605), but are heavily armored and have extremely high health. Taking hits is about all they are good for. They can, however, complete the destruction of a structure only after it has already been partially damaged by other Units. They are named as follows:
Sharma Tank (Tier 4)
Austria Tank (Tier 8)
Vayner Tank (Tier 10)
Glory Tank (Tier 10): The Glory Tank is a long range tank with high armor. It briefly stuns whatever it hits with it's Glory cannons.
COMPARISON: Big Time Bombers vs. Glory Tank...
Unsure of which category these should be listed under. These can only be found in the Scrapyard if you are in the "Show All" Tab. Although Artillery Strike can also be found under the "Units" Tab, it's not really a unit, so not sure we should move it just yet. - Deantwo (Talk, Blog) 16:51, July 16, 2012 (UTC)
NOTE: The T10 Glory Tank, introduced to the lineup on 10 Jan 2013, is the first Tank in the game that actually has damage power... and pretty good damage power, at that. Judging by the stats, it appears to be a very good compliment to the aerial unit, the Big Time Bomber. In some ways the Glory Tank may be a better option (see Comparison Chart below)... but the cost of 125 Gold Nugget's to complete seems more than a tad steep!
So you say you have a need for speed? Well give these two or three-wheeled bikes a spin! Hell, one even floats! These units, first seen in Tier 3, are fast and excellent skirmishers that can survive setting off a trap or two.
Wasteland Chopper (Tier 3): It's not a bike, it's a chopper! Speed past defense and pillage with this sporty two-wheeled killing machine!
Wasteland Deathbike (Tier 4)
Wasteland Road Hog (Tier 8)
Missile Blazer Trike (Tier 9): The Missile Blazer Trike burns through the Wasteland.
Scorpion Charger Bike (Tier 9): The Scorpion Charger Bike is a reptile of the Wasteland.
Mechs come on the scene with the debut of the PRIME Mark 1 in Tier 4.
PRIME Bots (Tiers 4-10): The PRIME are a series of general purpose assault Mechs that comes with high-velocity vulcan cannons and a devastating rocket launcher. Debuting in Tier 4 as PRIME Mark 1, they go up 1 Mark for each tier thereafter (Marks 2-6), ending in Tier 10 with PRIME Optimal. All the PRIMEs look the same regardless of what tier they are representing.
Enforcer Bot (Tier 7): The Enforcer was designed to keep the peace during the reign of Omega.
Marathon Mech (Tier 9): The Marathon Class Walker is a light combat mech developed by Omega. It is good for destroying all targets.
Agamemnon Mech (Tier 10): The Agamemnon is a heavy combat Mech developed by Omega. It is extremely effective against all ground targets with a long range energy...(this part is missing)
Missile Mega Mech (Tier 10): The Missile Mega Mech is a destruction giant that sends a hellfire of missiles towards the enemies.
In the Scrapyard these Highly Specialized Units are listed as Buildings... The only thing that makes sense is that, in order to make the Defensive Units available to you, you first have to have two Special Structures already built on your colony: The Ash Bear Embassy and the Uplink Transmitter. While these structures appear to be "useless", they truly are not... But, shhh, it's a secret! Currently there are only two of these available in the Scrapyard. There is, however, a series of Defensive Auxiliary Units, each one stronger than it's predecessor... but you have to play in Clan Battles to be rewarded with the more advanced Colony Defenders.
Parading in without warning, many of the higher tier'd players awoke to something very strange happening when attacking PvP Colonies that they had pummeled quite easily the night before. This time their units were under fierce attack with no way out. In less than a few minutes their entire force was wiped off the map! There was a huge buzz all over the Wasteland, "Who could it be?"... Well, congratulations to those Tier 7 or higher! You have just been properly (and quite rudely, I might add) introduced to the new defenders of our colonies! The game will never be the same again!
Along with the colony defenders comes something to even the odds. Fire one of these off to aid in leveling the playing field against the new colony defenders! Currently there is only one of these available in the Scrapyard. There is, however, a series of Offensive Auxiliary Units, each one stronger than it's predecessor... but you have to play in Clan Battles to be rewarded with the more powerful Strikes.
Artillery Strike (Tier 7): Used in attacks, artillery shells can be fired before the Troops go in.
Advanced Power is changing the way we play the game. Once you level your Town Hall to Tier 10 and complete all Tier 10 Tech Researches, there are three types to choose from... Choose wisely because, once the choice is made, there is presently no way to change your mind and alternate to one of the other two.
